Papunya Tjupi is committed to employing members of the community and giving them meaningful training opportunities. We are full supporters of the DesArt Aboriginal Artworker Program and all our employees work in cooperation with allocated Training Mentors.

Papunya Tjupi is committed to employing local members of the community and giving them meaningful training opportunities. Isobel Major and Patrick Poulson have been working for the Art Centre since early 2008. Their job description is diverse and they have become a vital part of all aspects of our daily operations.

We are full supporters of the DesArt Aboriginal Artworker Program and our employees work in cooperation with allocated Training Mentors. As part of this program Isobel and Patrick were able to travel to Melbourne for a “Speak Up Tour”. This was to encourage speaking English with confidence. Isobel and Patrick have benefited greatly from this support that DesArt offers.

Papunya Tjupi has the systems in place to be able to offer more employment opportunities where funding permits. We hope to take on more staff in the near future.
